About Cesiro

Cesiro is the largest producer of household ceramics in Europe

Cesiro is located in Romania, in the heart of the country, in Sighișoara, a traditional medieval city.

The original factory was established in 1957 under the name of "Enterprise of Glass and Faience Sighișoara". In 1990, this company was split into three new entities: Cesiro (ceramics), Stimet (glass) and Artfil (porcelain). On January 1, 1991, our factory, named CESIRO (CEramics, SIghisoara, ROMANIA), began to operate as an independent unit. In 1995, Cesiro was privatized through the MEBO method, so that the company's shares are currently owned by employees and former employees.

The current production of household ceramics is 4.5 million pieces per month, mainly plates, trays, cups and bowls, but also molded products (accessories such as teapots and coffee pots, egg holders, napkins and butter, salt and paper, tins, creamers, pitchers, jugs, ashtrays, fruit baskets and decorative art: holders of candles, vases and dishes); all in over 100 colors monthly, some of them decorated.
