Cesiro is the biggest household ceramic producer in Europe
Cesiro is located in Romania, in the heart of the country, in Sighisoara, a traditional medieval town.
The original manufactory was founded in 1957 under the name “Interprinderea de Sticla si Faianta Sighisoara”. In 1990 this company was divided into three new entities: Cesiro(ceramics), Stimet(glass) and Artfil(porcelain). On the 1st of January 1991 our manufactory, named CESIRO (CEramics, SIghisoara, ROmania) , began functioning as an independent unit. In 1995 Cesiro was privatized by MEBO method so nowadays the company’s shares are held by employees and former employees.
Our current production of household ceramics is of 4,5 million pieces monthly, mostly plates, platters cups and bowls but also cast products (accessories like tea and coffee pots, egg, napkin and butter holders, salt and paper, doses, creamers, jugs, ash-trays, fruit baskets and decorative art: candle holders, vases and pots); all in more than 100 colors monthly, some of them decorated.
